Two hat-tricks but a disappointing league season

Following a mid-season run of victories August proved a disastrous month with five consecutive losses including two to relegation rivals Cadmore End and Lane End.  Richie Lewis and Mike Widdowson both took hat-tricks at the end of the season against Penn Street and Broomwade (League Cup Final) respectively - click here for details

Knotty lose narrowly in the Cup Final !

Knotty beat Hawridge in the last four of the mid-week knockout cup to claim a place in the final on 31st August.  The semi-final victory followed victories over Downley and Cadmore End in previous rounds.  Chasing 160 in the final Knotty came up 36 runs short despite a Mike Widdowson hat-trick.

The second Devon tour will be based at the Red House Hotel in Whipton Village near Exeter and fixtures have now been confirmed at Axminster on Tuesday 5th August, Whimpole on the Wednesday and Budleigh Salterton on the 7th.

2nd Indoor Cricket challenge

Two excellent matches were played at the Dummer Cricket Centre at the beginning of February, 2003.   Wagge VI won both matches against Radfords VI - scorecards to follow.  Another fixture in early April will be announced shortly.
