wins the Don Furniss trophy
An outstanding back nine
playing with Jeremy Wagge in the afternoon greensomes secured
the trophy for Mike Widdowson. Paul
Millington was the unlucky runner-up after both players had tied
for the lead after 18 holes, full

Landmarks
in 2001
Steve Baxter passed
10,000 runs and 400 wickets in the 2001 season. Other
landmarks include Paul Millington 3,000 runs, Ollie Folkard,
Mike Widdowson and Nigel Roberts passed 1,000 runs whilst Richie
Lewis took his 200th wicket and Nigel Roberts his 100th. For all

Wooburn
Narkovians v Knotty Green 1937 !
This months run feast against
near neighbours from Wooburn was a far cry from the first meeting of
these teams in 1937. After their first ever match against
Flackwell Heath, Knotty were the 2nd opponents for newly formed
Wooburn. Knotty won the match chasing 48 to win in the second

Gloucester Tour hit by rain
Only two matches were
possible in a rain hit tour to Gloucester in early August both
narrowly lost. Read

Fund raising
reaches first milestone
Set a target of £15,000 in
order to fund restoration of the Pavilion the Club Chairman Ian
Widdowson reports that funds have just passed the £5,000 mark
following receipt of a number of considerable donations from members
and Vice Presidents as well as a contribution of £2,000 from Penn
Parish Council towards repair of the roof. Further
