Commentary:

Notes from the Denham Cricket Club website:

This one went to the wire and was decided with only 4 balls remaining.

Knotty Green scored a formidable 190/9 off their 40 overs. All the Denham bowlers contributed well and shared the wickets about, with Messrs Johnson (S), Grover (J), Brathwaite and Harish all bagging two wickets each.

It was the same with the Denham batting. All of the top order (Johnson C,16, Matthews D, 18, Bull S, 23, Leach A, 21) chipped in with around 20 each, then there was an inspiring partnership of around 70 between Stuart Payne (31) and Richie Brathwaite (41), the latter hitting the ball very crisply.

Just when it seemed Denham were cruising, Knotty Green brought back their (rather sharp) opening bowler (Lewis R, who finished with 4/33 and had also topscored for them with 49). Two wickets fell immediately. The last over began with 5 wanted and Phil Dickson and Jack Grover in bat. They scampered a single off the first and then Phil opened his shoulders and smashed the next one to the boundary over the bowler's head for a 3-wicket margin
