Commentary:

The Lee set a challenging total on a damp but good wicket, declaring on 202-8 off 22 overs.  Knotty Green achieved a steady scoring rate but lost wickets on a regular basis until a stand between Roy Page and Ian Widdowson steadied the ship. Knotty Green never looked in the hunt until Richard Lewis came to the wicket and in his own style took the attack to the bowling side. An improbable 18 off one over suddenly left Knotty needing 33 from 4 overs with three wickets in hand.  However two wickets from successive balls left skipper Nigel Roberts and overseas player Ian Wagge to guide the side to maximum batting points and start the season unbeaten.
